Contact, 1997, directed by Robert Zemeckis, and starring Jodie Foster.
This is my movie for the day. I haven’t seen it in years, but enjoy it quite a bit and am looking forward to watching it again.
I always meant to read the original novel, but sadly never did. Especially interesting to me, I just read, that Sagan picked up a $2 million advance on the book before it was ever written, the highest at the time for a then unwritten work.
