This is the opening to Steven Moffat’s incredibly fun Jekyll series. Moffat is a brilliant writer, the soon to be showrunner on Dr. Who and writing Spielberg’s upcoming Tintin film (Spielberg apparently went so far as to “love bomb” Moffat to get him to agree). As with most of his works (especially the stuff on Dr. Who, including “The Girl In The Fireplace,” “Blink,” which features the amazing Sally Sparrow (whom I’d love to see return in series 5), and “Silence In The Library”), Moffat is completely unafraid to start you right in the middle of the action. He has no problem not only demanding that you pay attention and be smart to follow his storytelling but has the confidence to know that it’ll find you, wherever you are, and hook you.
